Adding zones to you models in StreamBIM opens the oppotunity to divide and define models according to your needs. Zones can be created to define:

Takt areas for StreamBIMs takt planning module

Delimit you project into zones that are relevant for construction and operations period.

For example add apartment zones to residential projects

Add zones for quantity take-off in construction phase

Add zones by control area defined in the project

1. Open the Object information tab by clicking here
2. The Add zone icon is available at the top of this sidebar
3. Click on Add zone
4. You're new zone appears as a rectangle ready for you to define the area it will cover. Drag the corners and add new corners to this zone to create a different shape.
5. You can change the zone height, level and offset from level here
Default values

Storey: Current level
-
Height: Up to next floor

Offset from floor: 0
6. Give the zone a name, long name and description
7. To add property set (Psets) to your zone, click on + Add property
8. Here you can give the pset a name and a value
9. Click on OK to save you new property
10. Save your new zone by clicking on Save
11. Click on Yes to process the changes.
12. Find the new zone in the information tab and ensure your cursor is inside it. Alternatively, use the search to find it.
13. Click on the 3 dots to open the settings for zone
In the next section, we'll explain how to create a new zone by duplicating an existing one.
14. Click "Duplicate" to create a new zone with identical property values.
15. You're new zone appears as a rectangle ready for you to define the area it will cover. Drag the corners and add new corners to this zone to create a different shape.
16. Modify the values for the new zone here.
17. To edit the property set value Click on here
18. Edit the values of the property set and click on OK
19. To save the new zone click on Save
