Once you have a 3D model into the project viewer, one essential step is setting its geolocation. This guide will walk you through the process to ensure your project is accurately geolocated
Open the Settings tab
In the Project settings choose "Set location"
3 ways to set the geolocation
Manually - in the geolocation dialogue, move the marker to the the desired location on the map.
Using you current GPS location.
Using the building location specified on one of the IFC files used in the 3D view.
Setting the geolocation manunally
Move the mark to the project position. You can zoom in and position the project precisely.
Once you're happy with the position click on submit to save the position.
Click on Submit
To geolocate using you current GPS position, click on Go to GPS location
Your current location will be displayed. Submit to save this position.
To set the position using an IFC model
Select the the model for geolocating from the dropdown menu "Use geolocation from file".
Note that the IFC file needs to be pre-programmed with the correct location in the BIM authoring tool, before exporting to IFC.
Confirm that the IFC geolocation is correct.
Click on the 2D floorplan chooser
When the model is geolocated you will have Map and Satellite options added to you 2D views
