You can incorporate 3D models in Autodesk's DWG format into the StreamBIM 3D view. Additionally, DWG format files can be seamlessly merged with IFC and point cloud formats.
1. Open the the 3D streaming tab
2. Then open the model settings page
This page is only accessible for project admins
3. Click on Add files
4. Select DWG files from Documents, or upload new files to StreamBIM
5. Select the dwg file to add to the 3D view
6. Click on OK
7. Give the new file a layer name
You can add the DWG files into existing layers, mix with IFC files in the same layer, or create layers with only DWG.
8. Click on Publish to process the 3D view
9. Choose a layer for 2D floorplans
10. Once the models have been processed, click on "OK" to reload them
11. Your DWG models are now available to use in the viewer
In the case below, dwg file was used for the 2D view
12. Open the 3D view
13. Select objects in the DWG model to view their object info
Object info on DWG is often more limited than on IFC objects
