By opening the panel for 3D-streaming you can toggle on and off different layers. You can also turn all the layers on and off at once. Clicking on the light bulb will highlight the layer.
If the layers are set up using layers trees, you can drill down into the structure and select layers to view or hide at any level:

There are three highlight colour modes:
"Object colour mode" - The highlighted layer show their object colours.
Red against transparent - Highlight layers are coloured red, all else is translucent.
Red against grey - Highlight layers are coloured red, all else is grey. Good for seeing where highlighted objects protrude surfacess.
