There may be times when you need to work offline. For example, if there is poor coverage in certain areas of a building or on the construction site, it’s important to be able to access the model without an internet connection.
When using StreamBIM, you can activate Offline Mode and choose exactly what you want to access when you’re offline. This feature allows you to work offline with synchronized content, such as creating topics or filling out checklists. Any changes you make offline will automatically sync back to StreamBIM once you’re online again.
StreamBIM tries to synchronize every 10 seconds. As soon as your device reconnects, any changes made while you were offline will be synchronized — and any changes made by others will be synchronized to your device.

How to set up Offline synchronization
1. In system settings, click on Offline
2. Overview of functions
By default, you will always synchronize all calibrated floor plans and model floor plans — even if you don’t select anything else.

All your starred topics will be synchronized to your device
Sync selected workflows
You will get a list of all the workflows you have access to. Pick the workflows you want to synchronize from the list and then click "OK"

You can choose to synchronize all topics related to you regardless of workflow by toggle this one on:
4. Checklists
Sync selected checklists
Click to select which checklists you want to synchronize - Pick the checklists you want, and then click "OK"
Sync topics linked to synced checklists
Toggle on to synchronize all topics linked to your chosen checklists
5. Documents
Sync starred documents
Toggle on to synchronize all documents and drawings you have "starred"
Sync selected folders
Click here to pick from the list which folders and documents you want to synchronize - Pick the folders/documents you want, and then click "OK"
6. 3D-geometry and information
Sync selected layers
Click here to select which model layers you want to synchronize (including both 3D geometry and information). The entire selected models will be downloaded. Pick the ones you want and then click "OK" to finish.
Sync selected floors
Click here to select which floors you want to synchronize (3D geometry and information).
This allows you to limit the synchronization if you’re only interested in specific levels. Pick from the list and then click "OK" to finish.

8. StreamBIM will now download selected content
9. When finished you will see the result in the upper right corner, a circle diagram of memory usage of the synchronized data will show up.
10. When you lose connection or actively choose to go offline on your device, StreamBIM will clearly indicate that you are offline with the following banner:
