There may be a need to work offline at times. For instance when there is poor coverage in certain areas of a building or generally on a construction site, it will be necessary to be able to work offline.
When using StreamBIM, you can activate "offline mode", where you can specify what you want to access when offline.
This feature allows you to work offline with synchronized material, such as creating topics or filling in checklists. Any changes made offline will synchronize back to StreamBIM once you're back online. Additionally, any changes or updates made online in the meantime will synchronize back to your device.
How to set up Offline synchronization
1. In system settings, click on Offline
2. Toggles on starred topics
All your starred topics will be synchronized to your device
3. Click to add workflows
You will get a list of all the workflows you have access to
4. Pick the workflows you want from the list and then click "OK"
5. Toggle on to synchronize all topics related to you
6. Click here to select which checklists you want to synchronize
7. Pick the checklists you want, and then click "OK"
8. Toggle on to synchronize all topics linked to your chosen checklists
9. Toggle on to synchronize all documents and drawings you have "starred"
10. Click here to pick from the list which folders and documents you want to synchronize
11. Pick the folders/documents you want, and then click "OK"
12. Click here to pick from the list which model layers you want to synchronize
13. Pick the ones you want and then click "OK" to finish.
14. Click here topick from the list which floorplans you want to synchronize
15. Pick from the list and then click "OK" to finish.
16. Turn on offline synchronization
17. StreamBIM will now download selected content
18. When finished you will see the result in the upper right corner, a circle diagram of memory usage of the synchronized data will show up.
