In the document overview in StreamBIM, you can easily export multiple documents and folders at the same time. This generates a zip file that can be imported directly into another StreamBIM project, without losing any data associated with the documents.
Right-click on a folder you want to export and select ‘export documents’.
A new window will appear, giving you more options on how you want to export. Click on the question mark to get more info of the different options.
By adding a date to the first field, only documents uploaded from that date onwards will be included in the export. If it is left blank, all documents will be exported.
In the second field, you can choose whether you want to include all revisions of a document. If the box is ticked, all document revisions will be exported, otherwise only the current version will be exported.
The last option is whether you want to include labels in the export. If ticked, the exported ZIP file will include label information. This will allow folders and documents with labels to be imported into other StreamBIM projects.
After the zip file has been generated, you can right-click on the folder in the project you want to import to and select ‘import documents’.
You are then given the choice of whether you want to include labels or not before finally clicking ‘Select ZIP'.
