The Properties UI in Property Manager helps you to manage and clean up properties in IFC models. It lets you search by name, see which objects and files use specific properties, sort them by relevance, and get warnings about duplicates or mismatches. You can also highlight, hide, or optimize properties for better search, and get smart suggestions to improve data quality and consistency.
1. Open 3D streaming tab

2. Click on gear icon

3. Open IFC properties tab

4. View mode
View mode: Tree view and list view
Users can switch between two display modes: Tree view for a structured, hierarchical overview, and List view for a flat list of properties. Both are searchable.

5. Tree view
-
Search by property name for quick navigation
Allows fast filtering by typing a property name, making it easy to locate specific properties in large models. -
Warnings and info about duplicates and mismatches in IFC data type or unit
Automatically detects and highlights properties with the same name but different data types or units, helping highlighting data inconsistencies. -
Name
The name of the property as it appears in the IFC model. -
Data type
The format of the property value (e.g., text, number, boolean). -
Unit
The measurement unit used, if applicable (e.g., meters, kilograms). -
Classification pattern
Shows if the property matches a known classification or naming pattern. -
How many objects have this property
Shows the number of objects in the model that use this property. The values are interactive – clicking them will highlight the corresponding elements in both the 2D and 3D views.

6. List view
-
Files with property
Lists which IFC files include this property. -
How many times the property is used for search the past 30 days
Tracks how often this property has been used in search queries recently. This can be used to indicate which properties should be optimized for search (point 6). -
Number of changes in the last 10 conversions
Indicates how many times the property value has changed across recent IFC imports. -
Promote to top of information tab
Promoted properties appear in a "promoted Pset" for quicker access. The promoted pset is the same for all project members. -
Hide the property
Removes the property from view to reduce clutter. -
Optimize for search to get a quicker return
Quicker search result when using these properties. -
Ignore and do not save changes in history to save space
Excludes the property from historical tracking to keep object history relevant and uncluttered. Since these revisions change with every IFC export and add no significant value, ignoring them helps maintain a focused and useful history.
