Using the clipbox tool in the right click menu, you can quickly create a clip box around an object or selection of objects. Here’s how to do it:
In the 3D view select one or more objects.
Right click (long hold on mobile/tablet) and select “Create clip box”
A clip box is created around your selected object(s):
- The six planes around the object selection can be individually moved, flipped or deleted.
Move plane by dragging:
- The active plane shows as a yellow transparent surface.
- Move the plane by clicking and dragging in the slider. (Touch and drag on mobile)
Click on the three dots to flip, delete or face the plane in 3D. Using reset you go back to the original clip box state:
You can expand the box in all directions using the “All” slider:
To exit the clipbox, right click and select “reset clip planes”
