Some projects require multi-factor authentication(MFA). When you are invited to a project with MFA, you will be asked to set-up MFA on your user profile, by following the prompts in StreamBIM. Click SetupMFA on this screen:
Follow these instructions to setup MFA:
If you choose to cancel the MFA set-up (by going back to “Select project” or cancelling above), access to the MFA enabled projects will be denied. You can return to set up MFA later on, either by attempting to access a project where MFA is required, or by selecting Setup MFA in the Edit profile page.
Once MFA is enabled on your user, you will be required to use MFA each time you log on to StreamBIM.
Users can add MFA voluntarily, even if a project doesn’t require MFA. To do this, go the Edit profile page:
You can disable MFA, this will of course make MFA enabled projects inaccessible.
To disable MFA, go to the edit profile page:
Should you lose contact with your MFA authentication app and need to disable it in order to get back into StreamBIM please contact StreamBIM support. For security reasons, we do not allow users to disable MFA when they are not logged on to StreamBIM.
