In any of those cases, what the application will do is generate a text with the instructions needed for PowerBI. Once generated, it will copy it to the clipboard, you will see a temporary notification in the top center of your screen with the message: 'Copied to clipboard.
That is all you need to do in StreamBIM, a lot of text but in the end, there are just a few clicks.
Now in PowerBI, we need to find where to paste the text that StreamBIM has generated for us. In PowerBI, you just need to select 'New Source", and pick "Blank query".
Why? because the query is exactly what StreamBIM has done for us. Once PowerBI opens the screen for data handling just find the option "Advanced Editor" and directly paste there the text from StreamBIM.
Delete these expressions in the query editor, and paste them in the StreamBIM query:
Paste in StreamBIM query and click done:
The data appears in a table. You can edit the table if need be, then close:
The StreamBIM query is now in Power BI, ready for you to build visuals:
You can also refresh the data from StreamBIM by clicking refresh:
It is also possible to add scheduled refresh. Here is an article from Microsoft that shows how it is done: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-scheduled-refresh?source=recommendations
